Alez and Kaeman Hughes from Bloomington IN. , caught 50 Crappie with J & R Guide Service on Saturday morning 8/28/10 . Fish were suspended at 12 feet in 15 feet of water . Bait - 1/8 oz. Nothead Jigs and minnows .

Adam Wessell from Williams IN , and J & R Guide Service caught 50 Crappie on Wed. morning 8/25/10 . Fish were caught in 15 feet of water on the main lake using Nothead Jigs and minnows. Water temperature was clear and 86 degrees .

Dave Wurster from Ashland OH and J & R Guide Service caught 50 Crappie , 1 Yellow Bass and a Bluegill on Thursday evening on Monroe Reservoir , on the main lake . Fish were taken from 18 feet of water on a Moss Rack Fish Attractor . Bait - Nothead Jigs and minnows . Water temperature was reading 86 degrees .

Dave Gilbert from Michigan and J & R Guide Service caught a two man Crappie limit , 2 Yellow Bass and a Channel Cat , on Monroe Reservoir on Monday morning on 8/10/10 . Fish were suspended at 15 feet in 20 feet of water . Bait - Nothead Jigs and minnows . Fish were caught on the main lake .

Tracey & Mathew Wiggins from Plainfield IN. caught a fish fry of Monroe Crappie and Gills with Phil Bartlett of J & R Guide Service on 7/30/10 . Fish were suspended in 24 feet of water at 12 - 15 feet . Bait - Nothead Jigs and minnows .

Taylor Dixon , Dillon & JT , tried a little dock fishing on Monroe Reservoir on 7/27/10 . Several nice Crappie and a few Bluegill on Nothead Jigs and minnows . Fish were taken at 12 feet in 18 feet of water .  Nothead Jigs can be found at Big Marks Bait Shop and also Shedds bait Shop on St. Hwy. 446 .

Jeff & Jim Butcher and Jason Deweese , caught a three man limit of Crappie on Monroe Reservoir with J & R on Sunday morning 6/27/10 . Bait - Nothead Jigs and minnows in 22 feet of water on the main lake .

Jim Taylor , JT Pruett and Rusty of J & R Guide Service , took a three man limit of Crappie on Monroe Reservoir on Friday morning 6/25/10 . Fish ranged from 8 - 11 inches and were caught in 24 feet of water on the main lake . Water temperature was reading 82 degrees and about 4 feet above summer pool ,Bait - 1/8 oz. Nothead Jigs and minnows .

JT Pruett the J & R apprentist , caught a nice mess of summer time Crappie and Gills  shooting boat docks for the Crappie and catching the Gills on the beds . All fish were caught on the main lake . Nothead Jigs & Minnows worked on the Crappie while the Gills prefered a good old cricket.

Jeremy Floerke & Lenny Pruett caught a nice bunch of Monroe Channel Catfish on 6/10/10  and then worked on the Bluegill & Crappie on 6/11/10 with J & R Guide Service . Bait - Cats were taken on shrimp , Crappie were taken on Notehead Jigs and the Bluegill were caught on crickets .

JT Pruett , John Peets and Lenny Pruett , from Bedford IN. , are after the Monroe Cats with J & R Guide Service on Monroe Reservoir 6/9/10 . These Flathead & Channel Cats ,  came off of the cxreek channel edge above the causeway . Bait - Green Sunfish and Shrimp .

Emma , Austin & Greg Sievers from Vin. IN. , had a great day of fishing on Monroe Reservoir with J & R Guide Service on 6/3/10 . Their catch consist of 75 Bluegill off the beds and 40 Crappie . Bait - Crickets & Notehead Jigs . All fish were caught on the main lake  .

Mike Morgan & Mark Fry from Indy , took advantaged of the bedding Bluegill on Monroe Reservoir on Tuesday afternoon with J& R Guide Service and caught 44 nice Bluegill and 43 Crappie . Bait - Crickets for the Gills and Southern Pro Jigs for the Crappie . Fish were caught on the main lake with 83 degree water temperature .

Alan & Son caught some late Crappie spawners above the causeway on Monroe Reservoir on Saturday 5/29/10 in 7 - 8 feet of water on structure located on the creek channel edge . Big 3 inch Berkley Power Grubs teased these slabs into biting . Water was stained slightly and was 79 degrees . The Bluegills have went on the beds and can give alot of action to some young & old anglers alike for the next couple of weeks .

Max Lynch from Madison IN. , and a couple of buddies ,  went out for a few hours on Saturday afternoon and pounded 55 Bluegills off the beds with J & R Guide Service . Bait - Crickets .

Rick Corcoran from Muncie & Bob Corcoran from Louisville KY. caught some late Monroe spawners with J & R Guide Service on Monroe Reservoir on Friday 5/28/10 . Fish were caught on the channel edge in 7 - 9 feet of water east of the causeway . Bait - Berkley 3" Power Grubs .

Damion Grove and his brother from Cal. , caught 39 Crappie and 1 Walleye with J & R on Thursday afternoon between thunder storms . Fish were located suspended at 10 - 15 feet deep over brush piles in 24 feet of water . Water temperature was reading 78 degrees on the main lake .

Sloan & Stian from Champaign ILL. caught 30 Crappie and an 18 1/2 inch Walleye on Monroe Reservoir on Wed. afternoon 5/26/10 . Bait - Southern Pro 1/8 oz. Hot Head Jigs and Hot Grubs .  Water surface temperature was reading 80 degrees at 6:00pm .

Amery Cummings and friends caught 49 Crappie , 2 Bluegill and 4 Yellow Bass , along with Amery`s first Largemouth ever .  Fish were suspended in 24 feet of water . Bait - Jigs and minnows .

Larry Koerner from Plainfield ILL. caught a limit of Crappie , 8 - 11 inches  , from the Boys Camp Cove area of Monroe Reservoir . Fish were found in 8 - 12  feet of water . Bait 1/8oz  red head jig and red & black hot grubs . 

Larry Koerner from Plainfield ILL. caught a limit of Crappie with J & R on Thursday 5/20/10 in the Ramp Creek area of Monroe Reservoir . Fish were in 7 feet of water on wood structure bordering the channel . 2" Hot Grubs in popcicle color seemed to work the best .  1/8 oz. jig heads and minnows also worked good .

Bill Jenner & Gody from Madison IN , caught their limit of Crappie with J & R Guide Service on Wed. 5/19/10 on the main lake . Fish were suspended at 15 - 18 feet in 24 foot of water in blow downs . Water is 4 feet high and reading 64 degrees . Fish were 8 - 12 inches . 

Jack Stone from Columbus and Holly from Chicago , took home 39  Crappie for the fry , on a rainy , slow day on Monroe 6/17/10 . Fish were found in blow downs suspended at 15 feet in 24 feet of water on the main lake . Bait - Southern Pro Hot Grubs and Hot Head Jigs .

George Wallace , Frank Griffin , Bill Roddie , Robert Stroman & Ron Thompson from Calvery Community Church in Columbous IN. took a five man limit with J & R Guide Service on 5/15/10 . These fisherman got a little wet but wll warm up at the fish fry .  Fish were caught on minnows in 7 - 10 feet of water on the main lake .

Gary & Scott Walker took a two man limit on Monroe Reservoir with J & R Guide Service on 5/14/10 .  Fish were caught on the main lake on Southern Pro Jigs  on the popcicle 2 " Hot Grub . Water temp. was reading 72 degrees and slightly stained .

Mike Taylor & Son from Indy caught 30 Crappie and a 6lb. Monroe Golden BASS on Southern Pro Jigs in the main lake area of Monroe Reservoir . Water temperature was reading 63 degrees and slightly stained . Big fish on a Crappie Rod .

Mr. Tatium and friends from Saginaw Michigam caught 30 Crappie with J & R above the causeway on Monday afternoon 5/10/10 . Fish were caught on Southern Pro Jigs and minnows . Water was very stained and 64 degrees .

Chris Ford & Daughter , Big Scott & son caught 73 Crappie with J & R on a very windy day on Monroe Reservoir . Fish were caught on minnows and Southern Pro Jigs in the main lake area .

Larry and Kelly from Plainfield ILL. ,  fished with J & R on 5/5/10 & 5/6/10 , and caught the limit of 50 fish on the 5th and kept 32 fish on the 6th . Both days 150+ Crappie were caught on each day with alot of small fish .

Bryan & Tyler Anderson fron Clayton IN , caught their limit of Crappie , three Walleye and a Bluegill with J & R Guide Service on 5/4/10 . Water temperature was reading 65 degrees at 3:00pm . Bait Southern Pro Hot Grubs and 1/8 oz Jig Heads . Pop Cicle was a good color today and chartreus jig heads . Fish were taken in the Ramp Creek area of Monroe Reservoir . Bryan took Big fish honors with this Monroe Slab .

Mary Bower and Husband Joe caught 150+ Crappie on Monroe with J & R Guide Service on Monday 5/3/10. Mary & Joe keep the limit and released the rest . Fish were caught in 4 - 7 feet of water on wood structures , Shooting Boat Docks and some suspended in 24 feet of water at 15 feet . Alot of fish between 8 - 12 inches were caught  . Mary took the big fish of the day with this Monroe Wiper . Water temperature was reading 63 degrees at 12:00 noon .

Bob Cochrane and Father-in-law from INDY . caught 39 Crappie for the fry and 100+ fish that were released to grow a little . Water temperature is 62 degrees and very stained above the causeway .

John Hoefling from INDY , caught a limit of Crappie and a kicker 20" Walleye with J & R Guide Service on Tuesday 4/27/10 . Fish were caught in the main lake on Southern Pro Hot Head Jigs and Hot Grubs in Popcicle color. Some fish were caught in 7 feet of water and others were suspended at 12 feet in 23 feet of water . Surface water temperature was reading 63 degrees at 4:00 pm .

James Smart from INDY , took home a fish fry or maybe two , with J & R Guide Service on Monday 4/26/10 . Fish were caught in 7 feet of water on 1/8 oz. jigs and twisters . Surface temperature has feel to 61 degrees .

Thurston & Brian Smith from Columbus IN , took home 38 nice Crappie on Monroe Reservoir with J & R Guide Service on Monday 4/19/10 . 200 + smaller Crappie were caught and released . Fish were caught in 4 - 8 feet of water above the causeway . Bait - Southern Pro Jigs and Grubs .

Keith and Jake Orbin from South Bend IN , caught 35 Crappie on Monroe Reservoir on Saturday afternoon with J & R Guide Service . JT Pruett went along and showed us all up with this 2 1/4 pound Crappie . 

Larry Koerner from Plainfield ILL. , took a limit of Monroe Crappie with J & R on Thursday afternoon . Crappie ranged from 8 - 10 inches and were caught in 4 - 8 feet of water . Water temperature was reading 70 degrees at 3:00pm . Bait - Southern Pro Jigs and Grubs .

Larry Koerner from Plainfield ILL . took a limit of Patoka Crappie with J & R Guide Service above HWY. 145 on Patoka Lake . Alot of fish over 12" with the largest 15" . Fish were suspended in 14 ft. of water . Water temp. was reading 72 degrees . Fish were taken on Southern Pro Jigs and 3" Berkley Power Grubs .

Terry & Kathy McCrary from New Albany IN , took a limit of Monroe Crappie with    J & R Guide Service on Tuesday morning on the main lake . Fish were suspended in 14 feet of water at 6 feet . Water temperature was reading 61 degrees . Bait , Southern Pro Jigs and Hot Grubs in a variety of colors .

Larry Koerner from Plainfield ILL. took a limit of Patoka Slabs with J & R Guide Service on Monday afternoon 4/12/10 . Several fish over 12" and up to 15 1/4 inches . Crappie were suspended in 10 feet of water . All fish were caught above HWY. 145 . Larger fish were taken on 3 inche Power Grubs . Here`s Larry showing two Slabs over 15 inches .

Brian Voges , Brian`s father and friend fished Monroe with J & R on Sat. and caught alot of Crappie but mostly on the smaller side . The fish are starting to get more aggressive again following the recent cold front and windy conditions . This coming week should be a good one . Water above the causeway is very stainned to muddy and is reading around 61 degrees ,

Tom Bourque from Indy , took a 5.8 lb. Largemouth Bass with J & R Guide Service on a cloudy , windy ,  Wed. afternoon 4/7/10 . Three Bass total with this 21 1/4" pig making the tough fishing worth while . This Largemouth was caught on the main lake in 2 feet of water on a spinner bait . Congradulation TOM !!

Joe Ladendorf from LaPorte IN , caught his limit of nice Patoka Crappie on Monday morning with J & R Guide Service . Fish were caught in 8 feet of water on 1/8 oz. Southern Pro Jigs and Grubs . Water temperature was reading 58 degrees at 10 am .

Rusty Collier of J & R Guide Service took a limit of Patoka Slabs on Monday afternoon above Walls Boat Ramp . 18 Crappie measured between 11 - 15 inches and the rest were close behind . Fish were caught on Berkley 3" Power Grubs in 4 - 6 feet of water . Water temperature was reading 61.9 degrees at 4pm .

Richard Lahann and his wife from Nashville IN , toughed out some brutal weather on Saturday morning with J & R Guide Service , and caught 43 Crappie in 2 1/2 hours of rough fishing conditions ,rain , winds and cold . Southern Pro Jigs and Grubs did their lob again . No pitcure availble due to weather cond.

Westley Galloway from Spencer IN , took home the limit of  Monroe Crappie on  4/2 /10 with J & R . Water temperatures were reaching 58 degrees in the afternoon. Southern Pro Jigs and  Hot Grubs fished in 3 - 6 feet of water made for this Spencer Fish Fry .

Todd Griffin and family joined J & R Guide Service on Monroe Reservoir on 4/1/10 and caught 122 Crappie , 8 Yellow Bass and 7 Bluegill . Water was very stained and 55 degrees . Fish were caught in 2 - 6 feet of water . J & R now has a Fishing Pontoon that can take family groups of up to 6 people at a time .

Arthur Russell from Orleans IN , caught his limit of Crappie with J & R Guide Service on Patoka Lake in the main lake area from 2 - 4 feet of water. Fish ranged from 8 - 11 inches . 1/8 oz  jigs and twister tails in black/chartreus color worked the best . Water temperature was reading 51 - 54 degrees and the water was  stained .

Tim , Allison and Brain Shehorn from Newburg IN. caught their limit of 75 Crappie , 12 Yellow Bass and 8 Bluegill with J & R Guide Service on 3/24/10 . Fish were caught in the ramp Creek area of Monroe Reservoir in 4 feet of water . Water temperature was reading 48.3 degrees at 2:30pm with clear water conditions . Fish were caught on minnows .

Gage , Dillion and JT Pruett caught 36 Crappie on Sunday afternoon 3/21/10 on Chartreus Jigs and minnows on Monroe Reservoir with J & R Guide Service . 

Water temperature is reading 48 - 49 degrees ( surface temperature ) in the middle fork area of Monroe Reservoir around 4:00pm . We located Crappie in 4 - 7 feet of water and caught 23 in about an 1 hour time span . Fish were caught on Minnows and Southern Pro Hot Head Jigs and Grubs in the 1/2 inch size . Most fish were in the 7 - 9 in range , a few larger

JT Pruett from  Fayetteville IN , tried a little ice fishing on Sunday afternoon 1/10/10 with J & R Guide Service and took a nice mess of Bluegills for Supper on area farmponds in Orange and Lawrence County. Ice was around 4 inches thick and Bluegills were caught on Wax Worms and Crappie Nibblets . 

The slow months of January and Feburary is upon us but there are still some fun things to do while we are waiting for Spring . Rabbit season is in till Febuary 15th and there does seem to be a good population of bunnies this year . We`ve been out several times already and have had good success and run a little fat off of those Beagle Hounds . With these cold temperatures near 0 this weekend coming up , we are looking for our ice fishing equipment and will be heading out on some smaller bodies of water to put some Gills on the Dinner table .
